OVERVIEW Probably
one of rarest of all 156's, this is a 1.9 JTDm 16v Ti. Finished in Nero black
metallic and black sports leather upholstery with red stitching. Specification is excellent and
includes; Remote central locking, dual zone climate control, radio CD, electric
windows front and rear, traction control, 17" 10 spoke alloys, park assist,
blue tooth phone kit, sports steering wheel and sports suspension.
HISTORY Registered on
28/04/05 It has had a total of four owners from new. We have a stamped
service book and service receipts showing services for this car with services
as follows;
The cam belt was replaced on 21/10/08 at 67,646
miles.
The clutch and fly wheel were replaced on 21/09/09 at 87k.
CONDITION I am
glad to say that this 156 is in great shape. Obviously it has been well cared
for and well serviced during its time. Two of the alloys have been refurbished
and we have touched in a few minor stone chips on the front but that is it. The
paint work gleams and looks fantastic with a bit of sun on it! Inside is in
lovely condition. The leather upholstery, carpets, textiles and plastics are
excellent. We have had this car professionally cleaned and detailed. It appears
not to have been smoked in.
DRIVE
This is
a prime example of Alfa Romeo delivering a cracking drive with low running
costs. The powerful 1.9 turbo diesel engine is smooth right through the revv
range. Handling is impressive. The sports suspension makes the car an even more
focused drive but never feels harsh. The steering is very direct. You really
don't need a petrol engine when the diesel is this good. I have enjoyed driving this 156, everything works
perfectly.
